Scope of work includes monitoring debris removal from areas affected by recent flooding in Vernon Parish (FEMA Declaration for Severe Storms & Flooding FEMA-DR-4263).

Notice is hereby given that the Vernon Parish Police Jury, PO Box 1548, Leesville, LA  71496, will receive sealed bids until Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 10 a.m.  Bids will be opened publically and read aloud; bids received after the specified closing time will not be accepted.  All interested parties are welcome to attend the bid opening.  Bid specifications may be viewed online and bids may be submitted online at www.centralbidding.com.

Equipment to be bid:

Bidders may bid on either USED OR NEW motor graders, per the specifications.  The Vernon Parish Police Jury will evaluate all bids received and determine the best value for the parish.

Two (2) NEW John Deere 670G Motor Graders, or their equivalent – one with a 12’ wide mold board and one with a 14’ wide mold board.

AND

Two (2) USED John Deere 670G Motor Graders, 2010 model or newer with hours not to exceed 2,000, or its equivalent – one with 12’ mold board and one with 14’ mold board.

The Vernon Parish Police Jury reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause, in accordance with R.S. 38:2212 & 2214.

Asphalt Overlay (Type 3 W/AC30): labor, equipment, and materials to lay prime coat, 1½” hot mix asphalt, Type 3 W/AC30 asphalt overlay on 12’ – 22’ wide road on prepared base and existing asphalt, price per ton with suitable wearing coarse; 5% overrun; five (5) day time limit in Vernon Parish from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016.  Widening of intersections and turnouts MUST be priced as part of the road.  Must meet LADOTD specifications.  No minimum tonnage required per job.

 

  1. Asphalt Overlay (Type 3 W/AC30): labor, equipment, and materials to lay prime coat,  2” hot mix asphalt, Type 3 W/AC30 asphalt overlay on 12’ – 22’ wide road on prepared base and existing asphalt, price per ton with suitable wearing coarse; 5% overrun; five (5) day time limit in Vernon Parish from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016.  Widening of intersections and turnouts MUST be priced as part of the road.  Must meet LADOTD specifications.  No minimum tonnage required per job.

 

  1. Asphalt Overlay (Type 3 W/AC30): labor, equipment, and materials to lay prime coat 2” hot mix asphalt overlay, 12’ – 22’ wide road base with 6” of 4% soil cement, cut in on 12’ – 22’ wide road base. 5% overrun; five (5) day time limit in Vernon Parish from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016.  Widening of intersections and turnouts MUST be priced as part of the road.  Must meet LADOTD specifications.  No minimum square yardage required per job

 

  1. Chip Seal: labor, equipment, and materials to lay sections of level and chip seal with washed granite/rhyolite Hatton Tuff over existing blacktop, 12’ – 22’ wide road from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016.  No minimum on square yardage required per job.  Must meet LADOTD specifications.  Contractor to respond and perform within five (5) days of notice from Vernon Parish Police Jury.

 

  1. Asphalt Road Leveling: furnish labor, material, and equipment from asphalt repair and leveling of parish roads from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016.  Leveling to include cutting out and removal of unstable base material and replace with AC30 Hot Mix Asphalt.  No minimum on tonnage required per job.  Must meet LADOTD specifications.  Contractor to respond and perform within in five (5) days of notice from Vernon Parish Police Jury.

 

  1. 2-shot Overlay: labor, equipment, and materials to lay prime coat and 2-shot overlay using #1 and #2 rhyolite Hatton Tuff/granite on 12’ – 22’ prepared base from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016.  No minimum square yardage required per job.  Must meet LADOTD specifications.  Contractor to respond and perform within five (5) days of notice from Vernon Parish Police Jury.

 

  1. 3-shot Overlay: labor, equipment, and materials to lay prime coat and 3-shot overlay using #1, #2, and #3 rhyolite Hatton Tuff/granite on 12’ – 22’ wide road on prepared base from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016.  No minimum on square yardage required per job.  Must meet LADOTD specifications.  Contractor to respond and perform within five (5) days of notice from Vernon Parish Police Jury.

 

  1. Soil Cement Base Material: delivered and distributed at site, to lay sections of 6”, 4% soil cement on 12’ – 22’ wide road base, price per square yard, from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016.  Must meet LADOTD specifications.
