The Vernon Parish Police Jury requires Building Permits for all new construction in Vernon Parish. Building Permits can be obtained at 512 S. 3rd Street, Leesville – across the street from the Leesville Farmer’s Market (see item #3 below).

PERMITS REQUIRED FOR VERNON PARISH
#1 – 911 PERMIT: (337) 238-9911
Get this permit number from the E911 office. Call first for information. As of October 1, 2014, there will be a fee for this permit. Cash and personal checks are not accepted. Money orders and debit/credit cards are accepted. An actual 911 address will not be assigned to you until your front door is in place.
#2 – SEWER PERMIT: (337) 238-6410 ext. 2
Get this permit from the Vernon Parish Health Unit located next to Byrd Hospital in Leesville. Office Hours are 8:30 am – 4:00 pm. You will need an original legal description of the property with a seal on it from the Clerk of Courts. The property owner must get the permit OR sign Designated Agent Form.
#3 – BUILDING PERMIT: (337) 404-4081
Get this permit from Building Inspection Group located at 512 S. 3rd Street – across the street from the Leesville Farmer’s Market. Please bring the above permits and a copy of your legal description from the Tax Assessor’s office. If building a house, bring 2 sets of house plans and a Manual J effective January 1, 2015. There is a fee for this permit.
