NOTICE TO BIDDERS<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Notice is hereby given that the Vernon Parish Police Jury, PO Box 1548, Leesville, LA\u00a0 71496, will receive sealed bids until Monday, April 13, 2015 at 10 a.m.<\/strong>\u00a0 Bids will be opened publically and read aloud; bids received after the specified closing time will not be accepted.\u00a0 All interested parties are welcome to attend the bid opening.\u00a0 Bid specifications may be viewed online and bids may be submitted online at www.centralbidding.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bid Forms may be obtained from the Vernon Parish Police Jury<\/strong>, 300 S. 3rd<\/sup> St., Leesville, Louisiana 71446, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday \u2013 Friday, by calling 337-238-0324 or emailing belinda@vppjla.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bid envelopes MUST be sealed<\/span> and marked on outside with company name, item being bid, date and time of bid opening, and contractor\u2019s license number<\/span>.\u00a0 Failure to seal and mark bid envelopes correctly will result in your bid being rejected.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Vernon Parish Police Jury reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause in accordance with R.S. 38:2212 & 2214.<\/p>\n

Asphalt on all prepared bases shall be completed by October15, 2015, unless otherwise authorized by the Parish Road Manager.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Asphalt Overlay (Type 3 W\/AC30):<\/span><\/strong> labor, equipment, and materials to lay prime coat, 1\u00bd\u201d hot mix asphalt, Type 3 W\/AC30 asphalt overlay on 12\u2019 \u2013 22\u2019 wide road on prepared base and existing asphalt, price per ton with suitable wearing coarse; 5% overrun; five (5) day time limit in Vernon Parish from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016.\u00a0 Widening of intersections and turnouts MUST be priced as part of the road.\u00a0 Must meet LADOTD specifications.\u00a0 No minimum tonnage required per job.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

Chip Seal:<\/span><\/strong> labor, equipment, and materials to lay sections of level and chip seal with washed granite\/rhyolite Hatton Tuff over existing blacktop, 12\u2019 \u2013 22\u2019 wide road from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016.\u00a0 No minimum on square yardage required per job.\u00a0 Must meet LADOTD specifications.\u00a0 Contractor to respond and perform within five (5) days of notice from Vernon Parish Police Jury.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
